Shimer, Avila log hat tricks for North Lenoir

La GRANGE -- North Lenoir earned its first victory of the season by defeating Goldsboro 9-1 on Tuesday night.
Justin Shimer and Oscar Avila each scored three goals for the Hawks. Hunter Smith, Caleb Baird and Doerico Sutton each added a goal. Michael Allred, Carlos Rojas, Avila, Shimer and Sutton each supplied an assist.
Jeffery Martinez scored for the Cougars.
North Lenoir (1-4-1 overall) travels to Charles B. Aycock today, while Goldsboro (0-4-0) is the guest of Nash Central.
