* Volleyball: Goldsboro d. Wayne Country Day 25-21, 25-16 -- Kaylee Lyon recorded seven of the Cougars' 21 aces. Maddie Jara provided four kills. Goldsboro (3-5 overall) visits Jones Senior on Thursday.
Middle schools
* Soccer: Wayne Christian 6, Cape Fear Christian 0 -- Holden Foster scored three goals for the Eagles. Jaxon Anderson, Adam Summerville and Ryan Hill each added a goal.
