Greene Central claims 5-inning win over SW Edgecombe

* PINETOPS -- Greene Central cruised past Eastern Plains 2-A Conference foe SouthWest Edgecombe 12-2 in six innings on Friday evening.
Chad Murphy led the Rams with three hits and two RBI. Davis Wilson (three RBI) and Ryan Cobb (RBI) both had two hits.
Ben Brann earned the win on the mound.
Greene Central (4-6 overall, 2-2 EPC) continues league play Tuesday at Farmville Central.
