Wayne Christian hammers out non-conference win over Bethel Christian

* Austin Howell, Chase Darden and Tanner Rose cranked out two hits apiece, and Wayne Christian dispatched Bethel Christian, 12-2, in five innings on Friday afternoon.
Howell and Rose each had one RBI. Jake Riffle, Trey Hinton, Ryan Cooke and Brandon Price each collected one hit.
Darden and Chandler Harrell combined to strike out seven batters on the mound.
The Eagles (3-1 overall) play host to Wayne Country Day on Monday. First pitch is 6:30 p.m.
