Girls' basketball
Faith Christian-RM 58, Wayne Christian 39
* ROCKY MOUNT -- Courtney Barrow posted a double-double, but Wayne Christian ended regular-season play with a 58-39, non-conference loss at Faith Christian of Rocky Mount on Saturday afternoon.
Barrow buried two 3-pointers in a 12-point outing, snared 10 rebounds and doled out three assists. Katie Isenhower tallied 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Eagles. Kelsey Kornegay contributed nine points and five rebounds, while Victoria Combs chipped in six points.
Kathryn Lowery logged seven rebounds and three steals.
Boys' basketball
Faith Christian-RM 67, Wayne Christian 36
* ROCKY MOUNT -- Senior Chase Darden flirted with a double-double as Wayne Christian dropped a 67-36 loss to Faith Christian-Rocky Mount in the regular-season finale for both teams Saturday.
Darden collected 20 points and eight steals, and handed out one assist. Chris Easom contributed 11 points and two steals.
The Eagles (6-21 overall) travel to Grace Christian of Raleigh on Tuesday for an opening-round game in the 2012 Carolina Christian 1-A Conference tournament.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Faith Christian-Rocky Mount 52, Wayne Christian 30 -- Seth Harrell scored 13 points for the Eagles, who concluded regular-season play 9-8 overall. Wayne Christian plays host to Christ Covenant in a conference tournament game today.
