Rosewood 61, Spring Creek 42

* SEVEN SPRINGS -- Alicia Burns led three players in double figures with 19 points, and Rosewood pulled away down the stretch during a 61-42 victory over Spring Creek on Friday evening.

Logan Bill and Krystal Yelverton contributed 13 and 10 points, respectively.

"The score didn't do them justice," said second-year RHS head coach Ryan Wells. "It was a tight game until the fourth quarter ... the best I have seen them play in the past two years."

The Gators bothered the Eagles, who played without Holly Heath, for a majority of the game. Once Rosewood applied its full-court pressure and adjusted to the 2-3 zone, it took over the contest.

The Eagles drained 9 of 15 free throws in the final quarter.

"We came out of the locker room ready to play," said Spring Creek head coach Amanda Ramfjord.

Spring Creek senior Janna Price just missed a double-double with 19 points and nine rebounds. Alyssa Borja contributed 17 points and nine rebounds.
