* SANFORD -- Carly Hightower served five aces and cranked out five kills in Wayne Christian's 25-13, 25-8, 25-11 triumph over Grace Christian-Sanford in a Carolina Christian 1-A Conference contest.
Katie Caviness provided seven kills and four aces. Jessica Swets and Britney O'Hara (four aces) each registered nine kills. Haley Greenwood posted eight digs and five aces.
Katie Isenhower dished out 22 assists.
Wayne Christian (15-4 overall, 6-1 CCC) travels to Northwood Temple today.

* DUDLEY -- Due to a power outage and inclement weather that forced the postponement of its Homecoming football game against Cleveland to today, Southern Wayne has rescheduled its home soccer match with Triton. The teams will play Oct. 13.
Aycock-N. Lenoir rescheduled
* PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock's home soccer game against North Lenoir, scheduled for tonight, has been moved to Oct. 18 at 7 p.m.
The Hawks play Triton in football tonight.
