* Wayne North picked up its third and four victories in less than 24 hours with a Junior American Legion sweep of a doubleheader with Snow Hill on Saturday afternoon in New Hope.
The Warriors' Josh Dixon pitched all five innings in game one and allowed seven hits while recording six strikeouts to earn the win on the mound. Tyler Ware collected two hits. Jeremy Lancaster and Nolan James both had a hit.
Hunter Barnett tossed four no-hit innings with seven strikeouts in game two to pick up the win. Coi Barnett pitched an inning of hitless relief. Wayne North pounded out 12 hits. Justin Lee, Lancaster and James each supplied two hits.
The Warriors (9-1) visit defending Junior American Legion state champion West Johnston at 6 p.m. on Monday.
