Golden Falcons net another ECC tennis victory

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock swept the singles and doubles, and cruised past South Johnston, 9-0, on the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference scene Friday afternoon.
The teams played eight-game pro sets.
Will Hoff, Bradley Wilson, Michael Kearney, Austin Walker and Rex Rose each shut out their respective opponent in singles. Second-seeded Addison Vail triumphed 8-3 over the Trojans' Ryan Dorman.
Kearney-Rose, Sam Chastain-Austin Carver and John Guthrie-Jackson Yelverton each claimed a doubles point.
The Golden Falcons (12-1 overall, 8-0 ECC) entertain county archrival Eastern Wayne on Monday. First serve is 4 p.m.
