ROSEBORO -- Spring Creek's offense remained inconsistant through the fourth game of the season and the Gators dropped a 30-6 defeat to Lakewood on Friday.
Dashawn Newkirk hit Darlon Kinlock for a first quarter touchdown and the Leopards added a second touchdown when Antonio Rich broke a two-yard touchdown run.
Lakewood broke the game open in the third quarter when Newkirk broke a 32-yard scoring scamper.
Late in the fourth quarter the Gators got on the board when quarterback Ricky Brayboy rolled for a 31-yard touchdown.
"We did some good things and we did some bad things," Gators head coach Aaron Sanders said. "We are getting there, we just have to come out and get better heading into next week."
Spring Creek (0-4 overall) will host Swansboro on Friday.
