Princeton 21, Wayne Christian 46
* Wayne Chirstian standout Connor Jones won his fifth consecutive meet as an individual runner, but Princeton took team honors at Waynesborough Park on Friday afternoon.
Jones led the field in 18 minutes and 40 seconds. Marc Sawyer finished sixth for Wayne Christian in 21 minutes 26 seconds. Will Massey (21:48), Ben Sawyer (22:09) and Spencer Foster (23:17) rounded out the Eagles' team score.
Will Toler finished second overall for Princeton in 20 minutes and 13 seconds. Quinn Dougherty (20:45), Ethan Anderson (20:53) and Matt Edwards (21:12) rounded out the Dawgs team score.
Hattie Dougherty led the Bulldawgs on the girls side of the meet in 25 minutes and 15 seconds. Christina Foster led the Eagles in 32 minutes and 38 seconds.
Wayne Christian will be back in action on Tuesday for a four team meet at Waynesborough Park.
Tennis
C.B. Aycock 8, Cleveland 0
* C.B. Aycock swept through singles play en route to an 8-0 win over Cleveland High School on Friday afternoon.
Abby Strickland, Katie Gurley, Harlie Howard, Caroline Bone, Misty Edwards and Brooke Butts all claimed a singles point respectively for the Golden Falcons.
The tandems of Tiffany Godwin-Brittany Parrish and Kimber Pender-Rachel Jackson each prevailed in doubles play.
C.B. Aycock (4-5 overall) will host Wilson Fike on Monday.
