Hobbton takes down North Duplin

HOBBTON -- North Duplin could not get its offense in gear during a 25-7 loss to Hobbton on Friday night.
The Rebels tallied just 162 yards of total offense, all on the ground.
Wildcat quarterback Donovan King hit Henry Barnes for a 20-yard touchdown pass to open the second quarter. Hobbton added a second touchdown in the second quarter Eli Chestnutt broke an eight-yard run that made the score 13-0.
Devin Oliver picked up the Rebels' only score of the game on the ensuing kickoff with an 80-yard touchdown return.
Hobbton returned the Rebels kick to midfield and scored just 12 seconds later when King hit T.J. Devone on a 40-yard strike. Ahead 19-7, the Wildcat defense made the score stand up in the second half.
Oliver led the Rebels with 72 yards on 11 carries. Julio Mora added 68 yards on the ground. North Duplin did not complete a pass.
North Duplin (0-4 overall) will host Dixon on Friday.
