Leopards turn back Rebels

LAKEWOOD -- Lakewood jumped out to a 26-0 halftime lead and cruised to a 33-6, non-conference win over visiting North Duplin on Friday night.
James Kornegay caught a 32-yard touchdown pass from Marcus Kornegay in the third quarter for the Rebels' only score of the night. Devin Oliver finished with 123 yards rushing on 15 carries.
Marcus Kornegay had 104 yards passing.
The Rebels (0-2 overall) travel to Union on Friday.
