Josh Dixon's bases-loaded RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted Wayne County North to a 5-4 Junior American Legion victory over Northern Nash on Tuesday night in New Hope.
The Warriors led 4-2 in the seventh inning before Northern Nash rallied to tie the game.
Benito Avila led Wayne North with a 4 for 5 performance at the plate. Logan Wicks, Wesley Stewart and Wesley Capps each provided two hits.
Dixon recorded the win on the mound surrendering two runs on four hits in three innings of relief. Nolan James got the start on the mound and Jeremy Lancaster and Wicks both worked in relief.
Wayne North (16-5) won its 11th consecutive game and is playing in the Junior American Legion regional this weekend. Play begins on Friday morning with games being held at Southern Wayne High School and Mount Olive College.
Regional pairings are scheduled to be announced on Thursday.

Linda Cannon captured play-of-the-day honors during weekly tournament actions at Walnut Creek Country Club.
Hiromi Sueki earned low gross in the first flight while Linda Hilbum tallied low gross in the second flight.
Faye Franklin seized first low net and Pete Reaves claimed second low net. Nancy Satterfield finished with low putts for the field.
