BENSON -- Duane Gurganus belted four hits including a home run, and Spring Creek outscored Benson 14-7 on the Junior American Legion baseball scene Monday evening.
Gurganus finished with four RBI.
Austin Hinton delivered two hits in the victory and James Phipps tagged two doubles for Spring Creek. Ricky Brayboy earned the win on the pitcher's mound in relief.
Spring Creek (3-2 overall) visits Wayne North on Wednesday.

Mary Ann Sutton captured first low gross in first flight play during an Eastern Ladies League meet contested at Walnut Creek Country Club.
Libby Newsome took first low net in first flight.
In third flight, Barbara Hill and Eileen Henderson won 1st low gross and second low gross, respectively.
Newsome won game-of-the-week honors at LTGC. Sutton and Shelly Leder seized low net and low putts, respectively.
