BANNER ELK -- Keonta Coleman and Paul Hoffman each claimed a conference title, and Mount Olive placed third overall in the season-ending Conference Carolinas men's track and field championships.

Coleman emerged the 400-meter champion in 48.76 seconds, while Hoffman captured the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9 minutes, 45.74 seconds.

Coleman, Hoffman, Joey Murphy and Santonio Poole also earned All-Conference Carolinas accolades.

Murphy competed in four field events, earning all-conference with a second-place finish in the hammer throw. Murphy broke his own school record with a distance of 40.90 meters. He placed fourth in the discus, javelin and shot put.

Poole competed in seven events and captured all-conference in the triple jump. Poole finished second with a distance of 13.16 meters.

The Trojans compiled 83 points in the meet.

Women

Domonica Coleman and Christiane Maul grabbed individual conference crowns, and the Trojans ended up fifth in the women's portion of the season-ending championship meet at Lees-McRae.

Coleman won two titles -- the triple jump and the high jump. Coleman recorded a distance of 11.00 meters in the triple jump and 5.24 meters in the high jump.

Maul again broke her own school record in the javelin, finishing first with a distance of 35.32 meters. She added nearly a meter to her school mark and won by almost two meters.

Joining Coleman and Maul on the all-conference squad was Denise Harrinson, who broke her school shot put record for the fifth time this season and captured second place. Harrison recorded a distance of 11.71 meters, adding a half-meter to her school record. She also posted a third-place finish in the discus and a fourth-place finish in the javelin.

MOC tallied 57 team points.
