GREENVILLE -- North Lenoir got a complete game from Scott Ginn and bested D.H. Conley 5-3 in the second round of the South Central/D.H. Conley Easter Invitational on Monday afternoon.

J.T. Williams led the Hawks at the plate with three hits and a home run. Spencer Bass added two hits.

Ginn allowed three runs on five hits and struck out three batters en route to the mound win.

North Lenoir (5-9 overall) plays archrival Greene Central today at 2:30 p.m. at South Central High School.

Rams escape

GREENVILLE -- Will Bynum plated the game-winning run and Greene Central survived Watauga, 6-5, during consolation-round play of the South Central/D.H. Conley Easter Invitational.

The Rams (8-4 overall) led 4-0 through 61/2 innings, but the Pioneers pushed five runs across in their final at-bat. Bynum answered with his lone hit and RBI in the seventh.

Trent Murray (2 RBI) homered and Wes Sowers (2 RBI) paced the Greene Central offense. Sowers claimed the mound win, throwing two-thirds of one-hit, one-strikeout relief.

* Baseball: Eastern Wayne 6, North Lenoir 4 -- Benito Avila and Jake May each turned in two hits for the Warriors in the South Central/D.H. Conley Easter Invitational for junior varsity teams. Tyler Ware finished with a two-run home run. Josh Dixon got the win on the pitcher's mound and Jeremy Lancaster earned the save. Milkahil Batts led North Lenoir with two hits. Eastern Wayne plays New Bern for the championship today at 7 p.m.
