AYDEN -- Justin Farrell notched his 100th career win and Charles B. Aycock split a non-conference, dual tri-meet Friday evening on the Ayden-Grifton mats.
The Golden Falcons dusted the Chargers 54-13, but endured a 42-36 loss against perennial 2-A power North Pitt.
"This was a good tune-up for our big conference match with Triton at home this Tuesday night," said first-year Aycock head coach Marc Peck.
Aycock (15-7 overall) and Triton are each unbeaten in two league outings this season. The winner clinches at least a share of the Eastern Carolina 3-A Conference championship, and moves closer to seizing the No. 1 seed for the N.C. High School Athletic Association playoffs.
The match begins at 7 p.m.
Farrell, a senior, secured individual triumphs over Ayden-Grifton 119-pounder Trevor Jones and North Pitt 125-pounder Earl Harris.
The Golden Falcons also received victories from David Romo, Daniel Romo, Zeb Darden, Aaron Pate, Jorden Lee, Kaleb Robinson, Nick Simmons, Jon Rudolph, Travion Lewis, A.J. Barfield and Jarrod James.
