Sasser promoted to Tennessee

Pikeville native Dustin Sasser has been promoted to Tennessee, a Class AA affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
A left-hander, Sasser compiled a 5-4 record and 1.60 earned run average (ERA) with High-A Daytona. He surrendered 11 earned runs in 62 innings and accumulated 51 strikeouts.
Sasser was selected by the Cubs in the 21st round of the 2007 first-year player draft.
