Aycock falls in state tournament

ASHEBORO -- Charles B. Aycock's run in the 2009 Junior American Legion baseball state tournament ended with a 5-3, elimination-round loss to Cary on Sunday.
Colin DuBose paced Aycock's offense with three hits in three at-bats.Travis Musselman (RBI) and Aaron Champion provided one hit apiece.
Jordan Quinn started on the mound, allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits and fanned three Cary batters. Bryant Stafford supplied three innings of three-hit, two-strikeout relief.
Aycock concluded the season 22-6 overall.
