MOUNT OLIVE -- Unbeaten Mount Olive College jumped to No. 15 in this week's NABC Division II men's basketball top 25 poll.

The Trojans (3-0 overall) have now made an appearance in the national poll in each of the last five seasons. This week's poll is the first of the 2007-08 regular season.

Mount Olive, which did not receive any votes in the preseason poll, garnered 68 points to finish seven points behind No. 14 St. Cloud State (Minn.) and three points ahead of No. 16 and defending national champion Barton. The Trojans are the highest-ranked of the three East Region teams in the top 25.

Streeter honored

Mount Olive forward Brandon Streeter has been named Conference Carolinas men's basketball player of the week.

Streeter becomes the second Trojan to earn men's basketball player of the week honors, joining last week's winner Kendrick Easley.

Streeter is averaging a double-double through his first three games with 17.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest. Streeter is currently the leading rebounder in the conference and ranks fourth in scoring. The player of the week award is the second for Streeter, who also won it during the 2006-07 season.

Moore tabbed

Mount Olive forward Helen Moore has been named Conference Carolinas women's basketball player of the week.

Moore, who currently leads the conference in scoring, has scored in double figures in each of her first three games this season and 27 of her first 30 games overall. For the season, Moore is averaging 17.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game.

Moore becomes the first Trojan to win the conference women's basketball player of the week award since Teneal Boone won it twice during the 2005-06 season.
