Nora Louvene Hall Berry, 82, Pikeville, passed away peacefully Thursday morning at her home.
Louvene was born Feb. 14, 1936, in Wilson County to the late Willie Abner Hall and Myrtle Irene Cuddington Hall. She was married to the late William Leslie Berry.
For more than 60 years, Louvene worked as a beautician in her home, where she enjoyed many long lasting friendships.
Louvene was a longtime member of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church. She was devoted to her church, and was involved in many activities where she utilized her gifts and abilities to share the love of God. Above all, Louvene delighted in helping others.
A service to celebrate Louvene’s life will be Saturday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Pleasant Hill Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Dilley officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Louvene is survived by her daughter, Lori Ann Braswell and husband, Dennis, of Pikeville; sons, William Roger Berry and wife, Peggy, of Goldsboro and Jeffrey Spence Berry of Pikeville; grandchildren, Samantha Irene Berry and Christy Lee Berry; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa Lee Berry, Jake Edward Thomas, Colten Chase McAbee III and Caylee Rose Berry; and two stepgrandchildren, Trey Braswell and Grayson Braswell.

The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times in her home.
