LEONARD HOLLOMAN JR.

Leonard Holloman Jr., lifelong resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Wednesday morning, Sept. 5, at home. He was 91.
Mr. Holloman had served in the United States Army.
He had been employed for 30 years at Cox Brothers in Mount Olive as a salesman.
Prior to that, he had worked at Thompson and Stevens in Mount Olive.
His later working years were spent with NAPA Auto Parts, and lastly at Number One Builders Supply in Mount Olive.
One of 11 children, he was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard A. Holloman and Rosa Anderson Holloman; three brothers; four sisters; his wife, Minnie Brock Holloman; a daughter, Phyllis H. Faulk; and a daughter-in-law, Lorrie Holloman.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Milton "Blossom" Holloman of Mount Olive, Ricky Holloman and wfie, Hilda, of Goldsboro and Billy Holloman of Mount Olive; a brother, Edward E. Holloman of Mount Olive; two sisters, Peggy H. Edwards and Janice H. Martin both of Mount Olive; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Holloman was a simple man, and his life will be remembered in a simple way, with a service to be held by the graveside Friday, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. in Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at the cemetery at the conclusion.
