Mr. Glynn Durwood Grady, 76, 7893 Keener Road, Clinton, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018, at Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro with his loving family by his side.

Funeral service to celebrate his life will be Friday, Aug. 10, at 2 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Entombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.

Born Feb. 15, 1942, in Wayne County, Glynn was the son of the late Herman R. and Tessie Holland Grady.

He was a member of Rowan Baptist Church and a retired tree surgeon and mechanic.

He worked hard all his life, and would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

He loved his family more than anything, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rose Marie Hall Grady of the home; a daughter, Michelle G. Hunter and husband, Jeff, of Clinton; two sons, Scott Grady and Chris Grady both of Roseboro; a sister, Linda Massey, of Turkey; a brother, Jack Grady of Garner; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Britni Hunter, Blake Hunter, Shandi Grady, Taylor Grady, Maxx Grady, Mackenzie Grady and Kelsi Grady, and five great-grandchildren, Carlie, Reed, Leighanna, Mackenzie and Brooklyn.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at his home.

The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the entire staff of 3HC and Kitty Askins for their outstanding care and kindness shown to Mr. Grady during his illness.
