STEVEN R. DAUGHTRY

Steven Roy Daughtry, 68, passed away Tuesday at UNC Johnston Healthcare.
He was the son of Amy Herring Daughtry and the late Dewey Whitfield Daughtry.
Known as "The Lance Man," Steve retired from Lance after 37 years, and was a member of Brogden United Methodist Church.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and son.
A service to celebrate Steve's life will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Brogden United Methodist Church, with Pastor David Moehring officiating.
The family will greet friends in the church fellowship hall immediately following the service Sunday.
In addition to his mother, Steve is survived by his wife of 44 years, Laura Daughtry; sons, Anthony "Andy" Daughtry and wife, Dawn, and David Daughtry and his girlfriend, Elizabeth; three brothers, Harry Daughtry and wife, Mary, Herman Daughtry and wife, Icelene, and Robert Daughtry and wife, Diana; a brother-in-law, Jerry Tapscott; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Tapscott; two grandchildren, Bryen and Aliyah Daughtry; numerous nieces and nephews; and his very special canine friend, Captain Jack.
