PAUL PAQUETTE

Paul Paquette, 87, Kinston, passed away peacefully at the VA Home in Kinston Saturday, June 16, 2018.

He was born May 20, 1931, in Providence, R.I.

A funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 22, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Mildred Catholic Church, with Father Don Baribeau officiating. Burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Paul served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and retired after a 21-year career as a captain. During his career, he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

After his military service, he worked and retired from NARF in Havelock.

He was a member of St Mildred Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus, and he tirelessly volunteered in his church and community.

He is survived by daughter, Ann Price (Jeff) of Goldsboro; sons, Steven Paquette (Cathy) of Boston, Mass., John Paquette of Magnolia, N.C., and Paul D. Paquette of Peletier; grandchildren, Elizabeth Price, Daniel Price (Ally) and Tucker Paquette; great-grandson, Bridger Price; and loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cecile Paquette, and his wife, Elizabeth Paquette.
