JOHN DOYLE PEARSALL

John Doyle Pearsall, 74-year-old resident of the Mount Olive area, passed away Sunday night, April 22, at his residence.
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 26, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. Pastor Ronnie Wise and pastor Doug Bartlett will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
In his earlier years, Mr. Pearsall had been employed with R.N. Rouse Inc. and Houser Construction, and was retired from the commercial construction industry.
Remembered as being a hard working man, he was one of Wayne County's finest when it came to horsetrading. He thoroughly enjoyed working with mules, and he was an avid watcher of western television shows.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Gregory Pearsall; their son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Susan H. Pearsall of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Lindsey Pearsall Knowles and husband, Adam, of Mount Olive and Christopher Pearsall of Mount Olive; three great-grandchildren, Kinsley Pearsall, Anson Knowles, and Aiden Knowles; and a sister, Eleanor Lorene McCullen of Kenly.
Parents, John Henry Pearsall and Mattie Dail Pearsall; brother, Lloyd Eugene Pearsall; and sisters, Jennie B. Moore and Linda P. Gurganus; preceded Mr. Pearsall in death.
The Pearsall family will receive friends at Tyndall Funeral Home Wednesday, April 25, from 7 to 9 p.m., and will be at the residence at other times.
