Charles William Jones, 59, Sanford, passed away at Central Carolina Hospital Sunday, April 22, 2018.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. at Broadway Town Cemetery Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
Mr. Jones was born in Manhattan, N.Y., son of the late William Earl Jones and Helen Kaye Fulghum Jones.
Charles was a beloved husband, as well as a wonderful father and grandfather.
Charles was skilled in many trades, but the fondest memories are of his time spent working with Davey Tree Co.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Bowyer Jones; daughter, Kimberly Ann Jones of Broadway; brother, Alfred Earl Jones and wife, Marion Wright Jones, of Sanford; Charles Alfred Fulghum "Uncle Butch," who was more like a brother to him; grandchildren, Callie Cameron, Eric Jacobs, Ava Rogers, Andrew Rogers and Hunter Rogers; nieces, Shannon and Cheryl Bennett; great-nephews, Stephen Bennett, Mason Bennett and Benjamin Bennett all of Sanford; and great-niece, Allyson Bennett all of Sanford.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home.
