JAMES D. "J.D." HONRINE
April 19, 1934-April 7, 2018
James Douglas "J.D." Honrine, 83, died Saturday evening at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Born in Sampson County, he was the son of the late William James "Pre" Honrine and Hettie Belle Westbrook Honrine.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Swinson Honrine, and a brother, Billy Ray Honrine. "J.D.," was a veteran of the United States Army and was a member of Dudley Christian Church.
A graveside service will be held Monday, April 9, at 3:30 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Blane Smith officiating.
Mr. Honrine is survived by his siblings, Rachel Jean Hairr, Patsy Stokes and her husband, Mickey, and Frankie Honrine and his wife, Sharon; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Lesley Whitman, who faithfully served as his companion and caretaker after Glenda passed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Dudley Christian Church, 212 O'Berry Road, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
