JUDITH GRACE KING

Jan. 15, 1937-March 25, 2018

Judith Grace King, 81, went to meet her maker surrounded by her family March 25, 2018, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease.

Judith was born Jan. 15, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Ruth Kleinofen.

She was a member of Oak Forest Church of Christ.

April 20, 1957, she married the love of her life, Thomas Edward King, a member of the United States Air Force.

They moved to Spain, then to Oklahoma, North Dakota and Virginia. She finally settled with her husband and family in Goldsboro, N.C.

Judith worked many years for the Wayne County public school system as both an assistant and library aide.

She then went to work on base at the library.

She later went to work for the financial office on base.

She retired in January of 2007.

Judith loved animals, and was a member of the Wayne County Humane Society and Berkeley Civitans, and was very active in the Girl Scouts.

She was a member of Oak Forest Church of Christ.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, husband and daughter, Laura Cox.

She is survived by her brother, John Kleinofen; her children, Thomas King, Linda Gray and her daughter, Katrina, Frederick and his two sons, Tyson and Trent, and Andrew and his wife, Courtney, and their two children, Maxton and Elizabeth; and a granddaughter Amanda Murphy and her husband, Stephen, and their daughter, Alyssa.

The visitation will be Wednesday, March 28, from 6 to 8 at Seymour Funeral Home.

The funeral will be Thursday, March 29, at Oak Forest Church of Christ at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
