ANN J. CARTER

Ann J. Carter, 84, Faison, passed away Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Charlotte, N.C., to the late A.D. James and Margaret J. Lloyd, and was married to the late Bill Carter.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Faison Cemetery, with pastor Jabe Largon officiating.
The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Faison United Methodist Church and at other times, will be at the home.
Mrs. Carter is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dow and Leslie Carter; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and David Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Terry Johnston; grandchildren, Lee Kennedy and fianceé, Kelly Milam, Blair Kennedy and fiancé, Jeff Morrison, Ben Carter and Alex Carter; great-grandchildren, Madison Kennedy and Paige Martin; great-great-grandson, Greyson Smith; and special friends, Johnny Bell and family.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to Faison Fire and Rescue, P.O. Box 758, Faison, N.C., 28341.
