J.E. OUTLAW

Johnson Edward Outlaw, 75, Princeton, died Sunday at the residence with his family by his side.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Fellowship United Methodist Church, 5755 Rains Crossroads Road, Princeton. Committal service will follow in the church cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Eric Parker will officiate.

The family will receive friends in the sanctuary of the church from 1 to 1:45 p.m. and other times at the residence.

Surviving are his wife, Betty Lou Barber Outlaw; daughters, Wendy O. Schmick and Wanda O. Nettles both of Kinston; stepsons, Rickey Godwin and Jesse Godwin both of Kenly; stepdaughters, Patricia Helms of Selma and Jennifer Godwin of Virginia; brother, Cecil Outlaw of Kinston; sisters, Betty Lou Andrews of Emerald Ilse and Sybil Pate of Kinston; 18 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was a native of Lenoir County, and was preceded in death by his parents, Lora Jones Outlaw and William Daniel Outlaw; a brother, William Outlaw; and a stepson, Jeffrey Godwin.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Funeral Home and Cemetery, U.S. 70 West, Goldsboro, N.C., 27533.
