Vashti Jenkins Carton, 61, 1319 Carlton Chapel Church Road, Warsaw, died Thursday at home.
Funeral will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Stephens AME Zion Church of Warsaw. Burial will be Monday at noon at Sand Hills State Veterans Cemetery of Springlake.
Born in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen Dorsey, and wife of the late Cardozo P. Carlton.
Eight children survive.
Visitation will be 4 to 6 tonight at Garris Funeral Home chapel.
