Ellie Simmons Jr., 85, formerly of Goldsboro, died Sept. 27 in Holy Cross Hospital of Silver Spring, Md.
Graveside service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in First Congregational Church Cemetery.
He was born June 15, 1932, in Wayne County to Ellie and Mary Southerland Simmons Sr.
He is survived by two children.
Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., with the family present 6 to 8, at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at 100 Lorease Drive, Dudley, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
