James Thomas "J.T." Owens, 73, Wilson, died Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.
Funeral Tuesday 11 a.m. Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be at Wilson Memorial Service Monday 7 to 9 p.m.
J.T. was a retired fireman with the city of Wilson, and was an Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonita Barbour Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Anderson Williams Owens; daughter, Vickie McNeill (Sam) of Pikeville; son, Tommy Owens (fianceé, Beth West) of Wake Forest; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnny Owens (Peggy) of Wilson; stepdaughters, Diane Davis (Jessie Aldridge) of Grantham, Vickie Pearce (Benny) of Wake Forest and Mandy Bragg (Chris Lee) of Pikeville; stepsons, Buster Williams (Janet McBride) of Pikeville, Doug Williams (Terry) of Goldsboro and Dale Williams of Pikeville; and special baby "Chloe."
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 930-B Wellness Drive, Greenville, N.C., 27834.
