Wilbert Earl Pearsall, 76, of 100 Weldon Drive, Goldsboro, peacefully succumbed to his Master's call Monday in UNC Chapel Hill.
He was born Oct. 3, 1940, in Wayne County to the late David and Ophelia Williams Pearsall.
Eulogistic services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the St. Mark Church of Christ with Bishop Alton A. Smith officiating. Burial will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Rogers Pearsall; his children, Bennie Alfonza Rogers, Stephanie Pearsall, and Nelliyah Pearsall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The visitation will be held Friday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the James T. Haskins Memorial Chapel of the Haskins Funeral Home. Mr. Pearsall will lie in state at the church Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends. The family will assemble at the residence in preparation for the funeral service.
