Claro Gilbert Humphrey, 91, Grifton, N.C., passed away peacefully into her heavenly reward Aug. 27, 2017.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Humphrey Grady and husband, Don, of Albertson, N.C., retired Col. Lawrence Humphrey and wife, Cherle, of Green Cove Springs, Fla., and Frances Humphrey Tilghman and husband, Mike, of the home; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; soon-to-be-born grandson; her sister, Betsy Pittman of Grifton, N.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with chaplain Richard Skinner and the Rev. Mark Hobbs officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and other times at the home.
Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
