Linda Ann Malpass Rose, 71, Smithfield, died Monday morning, Aug. 7, 2017, in Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Born Aug. 17, 1945, in Wayne County, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Ethel Haire Malpass.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sammy Rose; brother, James Malpass; and sisters, Mary Emma Williford and Frances Keen.
Linda was a member of Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Smithfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, in Tee's Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Overbee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
Surviving are her daughter, Heather Gerrell and husband, James, of Selma; mother-in-law, Mary Rose of Smithfield; brother-in-law, Randy Rose and wife, Amy, of Smithfield; sister-in-law, Charlotte Malpass of Goldsboro; grandchildren, McKenzie Gerrell, Maddie Gerrell and Carson Gerrell; and several nieces and nephews.
