Artis Lee Palmer, born Aug. 9, 1929, in Waynesboro, Ga., and went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 9, 2017, in Goldsboro, N.C.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Palmer; his two sons, Artis Palmer (Juanita) and Larry Jackson (Lisa); four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Unell Hatch of Bridgeton, N.J.; and a host of family and friends.
The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 17, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley, N.C.
There will be a viewing held Friday, June 16, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations, Goldsboro, N.C., and Saturday, June 17, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum, Dudley, N.C.
Services of compassion and distinguished class entrusted to J.B. Rhodes Funeral Home and Cremations of Goldsboro.
