Minnie Ruth Pitt, 79, 1700 Wayne Memorial Drive, died Friday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Elm Grove Church Ministries. Burial will be in Golden Gate Pavilion.
She was born May 5, 1938, in Wayne County to Lattice Bass and Minnie Forte.
She is survived by eight children.
Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at St. James Church of Christ, with the family present 6 to 7. At other times, the family will receive friends at 210 Leavie Drive, Pikeville, where it will assemble for the funeral procession.
Arrangements are by Haskins Funeral Home.
