JUDITH D. HARRISON

June 29, 1944-May 28, 2017

Judith Dianne "Judie" Harrison, 72, Goldsboro, peacefully passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017.

Judie was born June 29, 1944, in Lenoir County to the late Theodore Harrison and Swain Croom Harrison.

In addition to her parents, Judie was preceded in death by two sisters, Lela Jordan and Betsy Russell.

Judie was one who never met a stranger, and she always stepped up to help others in need. Her bright smile lit up every room she entered. With a positive attitude and bright smile, Judie was a source of joy and strength to many during her 17-year battle with cancer.

Judie worshiped her Lord at Casey's Chapel Church.

An avid sports fan, Judie was a huge fan of the University of North Carolina Tar Heels and the Chicago Cubs. She was delighted beyond measure to see both bring home championships during the last year.

Judie lived for trips to her beloved North Carolina coast. Everything was always better when at the beach.

A service to celebrate and honor Judie's life will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at 7 p.m. from Rouse Funeral Home. A committal service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
