Jacob A. Maxwell, 81, passed away April 26, 2017 at Kernersville Medical Center.
Graveside funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Seven Spring United Methodist Church Cemetery, Church Street, Seven Springs, N.C., 28578.
Jacob was born Dec. 24, 1935, to the late Ruth Miller Maxwell and Gilbert Morgan Maxwell Sr. of Seven Springs, N.C. He was married to Harriet Caroline Ford and worked as a furniture salesman for Sedgefield by Adams for many years. They settled in High Point in 1977 where they raised their two sons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Harriet Ford Maxwell, and a brother, Gilbert Morgan Maxwell Jr.
Survivors include sons, Gilbert Motier Maxwell and Morgan Ford Maxwell and wife, Cheryl; grandchildren, Sydnee Maxwell, Logan Maxwell, Jacob Maxwell and Emory Maxwell; sister, Margaret Maxwell Smith; and many extended family and friends.
