Deborah Jo Hines Autrey, 66, of Dudley, died Thursday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Duplin County, she was the daughter of Rochie Hines Taylor and the late Homer Hines.

Deborah was a member of Emmaus Baptist Church and a realtor. She was an active committee member of the N.C. Pickle Festival and was the Pickle Festival pageant director. She was a member of the ABWA, The Red Hat Society and a 4-H leader.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Emmaus Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Burial will follow in the Emmaus Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family members will greet friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

In addition to her mother, Deborah is survived by her husband, Don Autrey; her daughter, Desiree Aurtey-Houston and her husband, Thomas Houston, of Dudley; brothers, Scott Hines of Dudley and Danny Hines of Nahunta; sister, Lorie Robertson of Sanford; aunts, Jimmie Davis and Sally Moody; mother-in-law, Bernice Autrey of Marion, N.C.; honorary children, Donna Merritt, John Gerken, Renee Farmer, Brittany Harper and Mandy Sarvis; brothers-in-law, Jack Lee Autrey and Bobby Dean Autrey; special cousins, Vickie Johnson, Dottie Rains and Chris Ahern; nine nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and nephews; honorary grandchildren; and her beloved pets, Brownlee, Savannah and Scarlet.
