A memorial service will be held Monday at 3 at Faison Methodist Church. Entombment will follow at Faison Cemetery.
David Stewart Precythe, Faison, president of Southern Produce Distributors Inc., passed away April 20, 2017, surrounded by family and friends.
Mr. Precythe, a native of Duplin County, was the son of the late Harold S. Precythe and Lois Williamson Precythe.
A man of great integrity, loyalty and dedication, he was a recognized leader in the produce industry.
Mr. Precythe was the foundation for his family, friends and his community for more than 45 years.
He is survived by one son, Kelley Stewart Precythe of Wilmington, and his wife, Patricia Linares of Faison.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at 173 Park Circle in Faison.
Memorials may be made to the Harold S. Precythe Memorial Scholarship Fund, Kenansville, N.C., 28349.
