Hilda Westbrook Hill, 83, Goldsboro, passed away Monday, April 17, 2017, at East Carolina Rehab and Wellness Center in Greenville while surrounded by her family.

Hilda was born in Wayne County July 9, 1933, to the late Herman Westbrook and Rachel Rose Westbrook Parks.

She was a member of First Christian Church.

Hilda had worked as a LPN with the Brian Center, and had spent her life helping and supporting other people.

A service to celebrate Hilda's life will be held at the graveside Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 19, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.

Hilda is survived by her son, Rick Hill and wife, Pam, of Greenville; daughter, Toni H. Wood and husband, Chris, of Henderson; grandchildren, Amanda Lovett (Matt), Christy Steward (Nick), David Hill, Tracy Underwood, T.J. Underwood, Stephanie Hill, Christopher Wood Jr. (Daryl), Jeff Hill, Joseph Wood and Benjamin Wood; and great-grandchildren, Lilly Wood, Brantley Wood, Violet Wood, MaKenzie Lovett and Kendall Steward.

She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Nellie Best, and special nephew, Eric Westbrook (Ramona).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Greg Hill; grandson, Mark Underwood; brother, Charles Westbrook; and a nephew, Chip Westbrook.
