The Rev. Paul Brantley, 83, died Monday evening at home with his family by his side.

Funeral service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Kenly Apostolic Church, 8341 U.S. 301 South in Kenly (at the intersection of 301 South and 581 North). Entombment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park, 2925 U.S. 117 South, Dudley.

There will be a time of sharing with the family Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Kenly Apostolic Church.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Joyce Tripp Brantley; son, Randy Paul Brantley of Goldsboro; and a brother, Ernest Brantley and his wife, Sandra, of Elm City.

He had served as pastor of Kenly Apostolic Church for 29 years, and drove a bus for Seashore Trailway Bus Co. for 34 years.

A native of Wilson County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Nettie Brewer Brantley and Cleveland Brantley, and his siblings, Roy Lee Brantley, Lillie Mae Evans, Beatrice Jackson, Etrice Punday, Bill Brantley, Johnny Brantley and Kathleen Pipkin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Kenly Apostolic Church, 8341 U.S. 301 South, Kenly, N.C.

Arrangements are with Evergreen Memorial Service of Goldsboro.
