ANNIE BELL HOBBS
Feb. 26, 1933-March 22, 2017Dear Heavenly Father, it is in humble submission that we ask you for comfort as we announce to all, that Mrs. Annie Bell Hobbs has changed her physical address. What once was 403 S. Andrews Ave., Goldsboro, N.C., is now 777 Highway 7 in that beautiful city called Heaven. Mrs. Hobbs, quietly stepped out of life's back-door at UNC Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield, N.C. on Wednesday.
Precious moments have been set aside to visit with Mrs. Hobbs while reflecting on fonder memories on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 10 a.m. until noon at St. Mark Church of Christ. Services to celebrate the life and legacy of this devoted mother, grandmother and friend will also be held on Wednesday at noon at St. Mark Church of Christ.
Following the services in the sanctuary, Mrs. Hobbs' delicate temple along with her adored family will be escorted to Evergreen Cemetery for interment rites. Although her heartbroken family will leave her earthen vessel in this designated place, all that knew Mrs. Annie Bell can rest knowing that she is now a part of the glorious number that John the Revelator spoke of in the Bible. John said he looked and saw a great number, that no man could number and the Lord informed him that those were the saints that had come up through hard trials and tribulations and had washed their robes In the blood of the Lamb.
Left on this side of the River Jordan to remember Mrs. Hobbs are five daughters, Lila Bell Jones Hobbs, Leneniece Chambers (Delmus), Diane Dixon, Carolyn Kinsey (Kelly) and Sharon Matthews (Ronnie); four sons, Larry Donnell Jones and William Hobbs (Ernice), James Carroll Hobbs Jr. and Jerry Hobbs; 24 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
The family will receive guests at 211 Hunters Creek Dr., where they will also assemble in preparation for the funeral cortège.
The Majestic Servants of Service are assisting the family with all of their heart's desires.
