William Frazier "Bill" Johnson Jr., 68, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at his home.

Bill was born in Wilson County on Nov. 17, 1948, to the late William Frazier Johnson Sr. and Elizabeth Chestnut Johnson. He lived his dream proudly serving in the United States Air Force and retired after 22 years of service as a master sergeant. Bill's valor and skill was recognized with numerous decorations. He will be remembered for his love of the water, boating, fishing, golfing, cooking and gardening. Above all, he will be remembered for the love and laughter he shared with his family during his well-lived life.

The family will gather for a time of remembrance and sharing on Tuesday, March 7, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. Military honors will be rendered on the front lawn during that time.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dawna W. Johnson; son, William Thomas "Tommy" Johnson and wife, Kristin of Greensboro; daughter, Christie Ranee Cantalupo and husband, Salvatore "Sal" of Woodbridge, Conn.; and grandchildren, Logan, Payton, Samantha and Sal. He is also survived by his siblings, Brenda Hoffee, Bonnie Lough, Barbara Johnson, Brad Johnson and Becky Wroten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Johnson.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be given to the charity that was important to Bill, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
