CONNIE R. NEWCOMB TURNAGE

Connie R. Newcomb Turnage, 78, died Friday afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late George and Sadie Pelt Newcomb, and was the wife of the late Jason William Turnage.
A son, Jay Turnage, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Tom Dorman officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
Connie was a homemaker, and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.
She is survived by a brother, George Newcomb of Seven Springs; a sister, Joyce Newell of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren, Ashley Nichole Turnage of Goldsboro and Christopher Jason "C.J." Turnage of Greenville.
