Charline Tribble Winslow, 86, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017, at her home.

Charline was born in Nashville, Tenn., Jan. 9, 1931, and was raised in Charleston, S.C., by her parents, Charles and Lillian Nesbitt Tribble.

She was a graduate of Converse College, and enjoyed the opportunities given to her by helping to impact the lives of so many students while a teacher with Goldsboro City Schools.

Charline loved St. Paul United Methodist Church, and was a dedicated and faithful member.

Above all, she loved spending time at the beach with her family and friends.

A service celebrating Charline’s life will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Phyllis Vail and the Rev. Madison Hankal officiating.

The family will greet friends at the home.

Charline is survived by her husband of 63 years, William T. “Bill” Winslow; daughters, Troy Ferguson and husband, Claud, of Goldsboro and Manning Musgrave and husband, Doug, of Goldsboro; sons, Will Winslow and wife, Kathy, of Wilson, Chuck Winslow and wife, Rhonda, of Goldsboro and Matt Winslow of Goldsboro; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Ferguson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 204 E. Chestnut St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
